Legal Procedure

Those who are at loggerheads with each other, without any hope of reaching a mutual solution, require the help of someone with extensive litigation experience. KreteMarres can make an estimate of the litigation risks for you and give you professional assistance during the litigation process.

Legal Procedure

Collaborative Practice

Those who strive for a solution without the intervention of a judge, but still have need of a lawyer can opt for Collaborative Practice. Mutual respect and open communication are pivotal to this process. Both parties are supported by their own lawyers and the discussions take place under the guidance of a coach. If necessary, an accountant, psychologist or child psychologist can also be engaged.

This method of settling differences has the same advantages as mediation but is particularly suitable where there is an imbalance in knowledge, emotions and power. Both parties have their own lawyers to bridge these differences. Instead of fighting against each other, they fight together to achieve the same goal. The coach ensures that emotions are brought under control more quickly and that the consequences arising from a divorce are arranged sooner and more smoothly. Although this solution is more expensive than mediation involving one lawyer acting on behalf of both parties, it is always far less expensive than a court case.
