N.P.J.M. (Nicole) Kreté-Marres (LLM)
Nicole Kreté-Marres (LLM) began her legal career at Kienhuis Hoving Advocaten in Enschede. She was employed as a lawyer there for six years and specialised in individual, family and inheritance law in the widest sense of the word. She continued her career at Verhoeff Advocaten and Mediators in The Hague. Nicole has been employed as a partner at KreteMarres Advocatuur en Mediation since May 2011.

Nicole specialises in divorces for entrepreneurs, international divorce and inheritance law. She also has extensive experience in child support, visitation orders, guardianship, name changes and adoption litigation. In addition, she is able to advise on marital property law (marital conditions, dividing and separating jointly owned property) and cases involving children.

Her knowledge and experience in Youth Welfare work and specifically her professional education in Youth Welfare (HBO-J) means that in addition to the legal consequences of a divorce, Nicole is also highly aware the emotions of divorcing partners and their children. This combination is her strength as a divorce lawyer and mediator. Her professional education in Youth Welfare work and her work experience with children are invaluable when it comes to drawing up parental plans. Her goal is that the children experience minimum trouble caused by divorce and also continue to have a good relationship with both parents.

Every year she follows a variety of legal and fiscal courses to make sure that she stays up to date on developments. The highest specialised course a lawyer can follow is the VFAS-specialisation for both individual- and family law and inheritance law. She has successfully completed both courses with an oral exam with a score of 9 out of 10 for the individual- and family law and 8 out of 10 for inheritance law. She also successfully certified for the VEAN. During mediation, she is able to deal with strong emotions and with her legal and financial knowledge she is able to find a considerate and balanced agreement.
